Weekly update time!

This week was rather disappointing in terms of progress. Unfortunately there were multiple personal matters that I had to attend to, which all coincidentally occurred throughout this week. Not that I’m upset or anything as I do make it a priority to attend to family and friends first before work, but I still wished I could’ve compensated more after seeing so little done. Nonetheless, I’ll try to make up for it next week.

In summary:

– Managed to outline 2 pages for chapter 15 of the MMO series!

– Still working on the new narrated animatic video!

– Managed to practice colouring, gestures, and anatomy!

今週は、どちらかというと残念な結果に終わりました。残念ながら、今週は私的な用事が複数あり、それが偶然にも重なってしまったのです。仕事よりもまず家族や友人と過ごすことを優先しているので、怒っているわけではありませんが、これだけ仕事が進まないと、もっと時間を補うことができたのではないかと思ってしまいます。とはいえ、来週はこの埋め合わせをするつもりです。

MMO Series Update | MMOシリーズの進歩:

I only managed to work on a couple of pages this week. In fact, I had to skip a number of pages because they contained the “Guards” character in their panels. I’m still creating the simple 3D “Guards” character model using Blender, but I could not finish it this week due to the personal matters that I had to attend to, hence my decision to skip the pages which contained this particular character. Once again, I am creating this 3D model because I’ve noticed that I am inconsistent with the character design of the “Guards”, and I’m hoping this would help resolve that issue. My apologies for the MMO series progressing so slow this past few weeks!

今週は2、3ページしか手がけられませんでした。実は、「ガード」のキャラクターがコマに含まれているため、何ページか飛ばしたのです。Blenderで簡単な3Dキャラクターモデルを作っているのですが、今週は私用で完成できず、そのためこのキャラクターが登場するページをスキップすることにしました。今回も「ガード」のキャラクターデザインに一貫性がないことに気づき、その解消のためにこの3Dモデルを作成しました。この数週間、MMOシリーズの進行が遅くて申し訳ありません。

Animation Update | アニメの進捗:

I’m still working on that animatic video! Apart from reviewing and re-finalising the drafts, I couldn’t make much progress this week. All I can show this week is just a couple more storyboards, as I don’t want to spoil the story too much for you guys.

ナレーション付きのビデオにまだ取り掛かっているところです今週は、原稿の見直しと再仕上げを除いて、あまり進展がなかった。今週お見せできるのは、皆さんにあまりネタバレしたくないので、絵コンテをもう2枚ほどだけです。

Warm Ups + Studies | ウォームアップとスタディ:

I managed to be consistent with practicing art this week, which makes me very happy, considering the schedule for everything else was thrown into chaos!

今週は、アートの練習をコンスタントにこなすことができたので、他のすべてのスケジュールが混乱していたことを考えると、とてもうれしいです！

I think I’m getting better at drawing torsos and hips, at least for the female body. I’m thinking of drawing characters over them more next week.

少なくとも女体では、胴体や腰の描き方が上手くなってきたと思う。来週はもっとその上にキャラクターを描こうと思っています。

- Colour Practice | 色彩練習

I believe I messed up the eyes for this one. They seem disproportionate in my opinion, but maybe it’s just me. I’ll try again next week too. haha

私はこの作品のために彼女の目を台無しにしたと思っています。私的には不釣り合いな気がするのですが、私だけでしょうか。来週もまたやってみます。ｗｗｗ

We’re already in November, meaning it’s been more than a year since the last MMO series release! Not again! Hahaha

Perhaps I’ll aim for a 2023 release for these next 5 chapters. I can’t believe it, we’ve finally hit the year where there isn’t a single MMO series chapter! Oh NO!

I’ll keep trying!
