Added 2020-11-29 06:58:29 +0000 UTCColours! I've been getting art videos recommended to me recently, and one of them was about how to practice facial form, shadows and lights all at once! So that's exactly what I've been doing for the past week! Sorry for the mess though! The video encouraged using as big of a brush that you could comfortably draw with and just blotching the shapes as roughly as possible, while trying to understand the form and lighting as you do it (while using references if you get stuck). It's a lot less restricting and stressful, so I'll be doing more of these for sure! I'm trying practice often enough so that I do more than 1 canvas a week!
