Roadkill NES found and restored

Rob Ivy found this NES on the side of the road and so I restored it.
I've got 4 long-term projects I'm working on right now, so I needed another short term project to fill in the gap. I think this one worked out nicely.
does nintendo use some kind of magic plastic that doesn't require retrobriting?!?!?

Not really.. Haven't had a lot to talk about.. and also been very busy working on other projects, which you'll see soon.

Probably flew out of a box in the back of a pickup. Or was tossed out by a mad girlfriend. I found one like this once and restored it too but it did need a new cart socket.

I wonder who threw it out there.

I believe a mini wormhole is the most plausible explanation :)

I had to repair one of these recently. Those cartridge sockets don't actually fail as often as people think they do, but they do get really dirty very fast. It took me 15 minutes with a toothbrush and IPA to get my cartridge slot working reliably. I also applied the NES10 mod though just to make it less likely to bootloop in the future.
