LotR Collector Boxes - RESULTS
Added 2023-06-17 02:19:40 +0000 UTCI have enough Collector boxes to fill all paypal orders that are timestamped at 09:05:35 PM EST or earlier.
117 patrons that have payments AFTER this time in the system.
I will be spending all day tomorow getting the spreadsheets and audit completed.
Tomorow i will be sending out a post looking for volunteers to exchange into different sealed product options.
I will be making some very attractive packages to try and convince patrons to swap over.
This should get a chunk of the overage converted and corrected.
Lastly, by tomorow afternoon i will be contacting each person if you sent payment after the sale and i cant fill your order to assist in either leaving a credit on your account for future purchases or swapping into something else on the monthly list.
Canceling payments is the last resort option since paypal will keep 3.5% of the Patrons money.
And yes many patrons have PM'd me saying i should have moved the price to $450 a box and slowed the sale down. I felt by removing the 12 and 24 quantity box option that should have been enough. But i was incorrect. I continue to mis-understand the demand and pricing for this product.
Tracking numbers will go out on Sunday.

2023-06-19 20:52:39 +0000 UTCI haven’t got mine yet and I was in the time. Honestly probably a ton of logistics behind the scenes with volume and the swapping. So wouldn’t be surprised if it took a bit longer. Rudy has always gotten them out asap so not worried yet

I think most people bought the 6 box bundle and that pretty much wiped out all inventory even at $399 per unit pricing. That's $2400 yikes..that's like a month's salary for me.

2023-06-18 17:50:53 +0000 UTCNext time you have a sale like this, how about putting it up in waves? The first wave is limit 1 box per patron. Then, after 30 minutes, you open up the 3 and 6 box options. After 1 hour, you open up the option to purchase 12 boxes.

And at that price this close to release, it wouldn't even feel like a decent value since. As you've pointed out, the price at tcg and Amazon was already right about there. At $440 after tax, if you're using a credit card with 5%~ cash back or points that's probably going to end up being about $450 anyway. Thanks taco man!

Rudy said set an alarm it will sell out, I set an alarm and got my order, and it sold out. I’ve missed sales before too, but actually even having the chance boxes at discounted price and not showing up on time for it? Now that’s just being sore.
