Alright........The market has lost its mind on this product. 

- Other stores are contacting me and asking to get more allocation

- Patrons are contacting me regarding orders being canceled when they locked in early pricing from a month ago

As of right now, people are now paying $420 + Tax on TCGplayer ($445 shipped) for LotR Collector boxes.

Most local stores are selling at $399+ tax ($425 out the door) - checked 11 stores today

I personally believe $445 shipped is way too high. The market clearly believes my opinion is wrong and the volume of sales is unlike anything i have ever seen in my cardboard career.

The fact the sales volume continues even with high prices is wild.

I cant believe im saying this, but it does appear this product could hit $500 a box before release. 

The supply is getting so low, we could see a huge uptick in pricing.

We have never seen demand and "hype" of this kind. 

This will be the first magic product that i actually make a solid profit in a year since Double masters 2022. 

While it is nice to actually see a wotc product that stores can make money on, it is very rare and a little scary right now due to the high price swings.

My main concern is keeping the product for sale and available for at least 30-60 minutes and preventing a blowout disaster.

If i price this product low...its going to sell out instantly and people will be angry they didnt get a chance to purchase.

If i price it high...patrons feel like there is no point in "being a patron" and threats/anger/account closures will follow.

So its going to be a balancing act, that will have collateral damage.

My goal was and is to keep the price point below $400 a box which i feel is a fair price as stated in the videos from the last 2 weeks.

As for quantity, i wanted to offer patrons the choice of as little as 1 box and as much as a master case of 24 boxes.

As we approach this Friday, i may have to reduce the quantity limit down to 6 boxes to ensure a smooth and stable sale. Especially if box prices push $500 a box online and i want to hold below $400.

Large price spreads like this, lead to surges in orders due to flipping and "free tendies". This tends to lead to blowouts and massive anger and account closures. It is ok to lose patrons because they feel a price is too high, but its a different feeling when you dont have a "fair chance" to even purchase something.

Even if you are not interested in this product, i recomend being here this weekend, it is going to be a legendary weekend for the record books. High emotions and all kinds of comments! Get your popcorn ready!
