Warlord Class v2.2.0 - Public Update!

Hey all, I’m excited to share my latest update for (my take on) the Warlord Class. The Warlord was a martial support class that debuted in 4e and was very well-loved. Using the Exploit system from my Alternate Fighter, I’ve done my best to bring this unique class to 5e.

The Warlord is meant to be a martial (non-magic) support class, so I’ve done my best to design features that reflect that. Like a Bard or Cleric, they can hold their own in a fight, but they work must better with allies to buff and enhance.
Leadership Style. Much like a Warlock is allowed to pick a Pact Boon, the Warlord gets a one-time choice for their secondary ability score. These used to be tied to the subclasses, but I felt that it was too restricting and had too many subclass features.
Inspiring Word. This feature has been buffed, but each creature can now only benefit from it once per short or long rest.
Fighting Styles. I’ve got the basics in here and a few of my own creation. New additions for this update include Archery, Mounted Warrior, and Strongbow.
Rallying Cry. Like Inspiring Word, this has been buffed (significantly), but it is now limited to once per short/long rest unless you expend an Exploit Die.
Rested and Ready. Changed to not overlap too much with the Bard.
Warlord or Legend. Now, majorly buffs to Inspiring Word and Rallying Cry

- Multiclassing // Added new Exploit Multiclassing rules.
- Leadership Style // Brought back this 1st level feature that lets you choose which ability score you will use as your Leadership modifier (and a one small benefit).
- Inspiring Word // Limited to once per short/long rest per creature, but the creature can now add its Constitution modifier to the roll.
- Fighting Style // Added Archery and Strongbow
- Academy of War // Moved back to 3rd level.
- Tactical Exploits // Exploit Die progression changed to match the Rogue/Barbarian.
- Rallying Cry // Reworked around your Exploit Dice.
- Steadfast Leadership // Clarified this ability and combined all the 11th-level buffs to other features as part of this ability.
- Relentless // Removed (I want this to be Fighter exclusive).
- Warlord of Legend // Now grants major buffs to Inspiring Word and Rallying Cry.
- Academy of War // All academies have had their 1st level features streamlined and moved up to 3rd level. Any mention of Leadership abilities by subclass is removed.
- Chivalry // Lead the Charge // NEW feature (replaced Noble Aspirations)
- Chivalry // Flames of Hope // NEW feature (replaced the old Rallying Cry).
- Ferocity // Thrill of the Hunt // Slightly reworked and clarified.
- Ferocity // Primal Ambush // Streamlined. Can issue Maneuvering Order as a BA.
- Ferocity // Savage Frenzy // Renamed (Hunter’s Frenzy).
- Schemes // Cheap Shot // Now a Dexterity saving throw.
- Schemes // Ruthless Focus // BA Disengage/Dash moved up.
- Schemes // Devious Tactics // DEX save to switch with any creature within 5 feet.
- Skalds // Spellcasting // Removed cantrips (since you get Subclass Exploits). Spell Save DC is now based on your Leadership ability.
- Skalds // Songs of Rest and War // Merged the 6th level features.
- Tactician // Brains over Brawn // You now choose one of the benefits.
- Exploits // Daring Rescue // Target adds their CON mod instead of Leadership mod.
