2022-01-12 03:20:53 +0000 UTCI know it's late, but I figure I'll throw my $0.02 in here: From my perspective, draft boxes are likely to hold more of an appeal long term than set boxes, simply due to the ability to use them directly for in person gaming. Set boxes may have slightly higher EV, but without the experience associated with the draft. As a long-time magic player, there is something extremely appealing to the idea of being able to go back and draft a set I enjoyed playing with years ago, and I know I'm not alone in this sentiment. I buy draft boxes from every set that is released, some to hold onto long term as an investment, and some to hold onto for future drafts. That being said, I have not purchased a single set booster box, opened a single set booster pack, and have no particular interest in doing so.

The List holds crazy potential lottery-like pulls like Snapcaster Mage, Ancient Tomb, Wrenn and Six, etc. etc... do people really hold onto draft boxes for 10 years so that they can have a crazy expensive home draft?

2022-01-05 21:09:22 +0000 UTCI bookmarked Rudy's Patreon and checked daily for a slot so that I could: 1. Support a channel that I watch at least once every other day. 2. Have access to standard draft boxes at ridiculously low prices I plan on purchasing at least one of every draft box not to flip or invest but to crack when my son is old enough to play and enjoy the game. It isn't reasonable to expect Rudy to hold $1-$2 million in inventory to supply 2-4 sets of draft and set boosters so like others have said I would support a draft box only. This is especially true when Amazon does fire sales like the one above with the set boxes at $83 + 5% back w/ Amazon prime rewards card. Us Timmy's need to vote for draft boxes not just with our words but our wallets.

2022-01-02 04:23:58 +0000 UTCi would prefer to continue to get draft boxes at bottom barrel prices. i like the utility of being able to actually draft and play with the packs. it's hard to find draft boxes for under $100 so the price point of 85 is really worth the patreon spot. Set boxes can commonly be found from online shops for $90-100, including amazon. there is absolutely no reason to carry them here for the same price while dropping the draft boxes which are a great deal here.

2022-01-02 02:46:42 +0000 UTCI am not sure where this post should go. I just wanted to share my thoughts on the Magic products that Rudy should carry in 2022. I prefer the Standard boxes and would like to purchase those instead of draft boxes for a few dollars more. You get more rares, and foils per box along with some commander cards. I think this is worth the $5 per box though I could do without the art cards. So for me I am happy with Set boxes and still Ok with draft boxes. (In case you wanted any feedback from your patrons). Quick thought on Collector boxes I think these are vastly overpriced at 200-215 a box. The card value just doesn't come close to the box price. I have been watching the Crimson Vow collector box videos, and at the end I find myself thinking Jesus somebody just paid $400 for a hot mess of crap. MH2 is the exception to this. It is one thing to bust open a Monkey and 3-4 fetch lands worth $250, and quite another to bust open a Cultivator Colossus and 3-4 full art lands worth $40-50. It seems like Wizards lured people in with the MH2 collectors. Then gave everyone the old rope a dope and went back to the ho-hum collector boxes in the last 3 sets. Just my thoughts .. I'd be interested if other people see the collector boxes in a different light.

One would think the distributors and WOTC would just release these boxes for general distribution by now due to slow and poor sales. I'm patiently waiting for these so I can build position myself :-)

Through my business' Paypal account I go to the "Pay & Get Paid" dropdown, select "Send Money", enter the email address, and then I can set the amount and type a note. Last month the note didn't make it to Rudy. Does that description of the steps sound right to everyone else, or am I getting into a different set of menus since I'm using a business account?
