- The Flesh and Blood Variety Kit 2.0 expansion is in the works. We have some epic new promos...a custom playmat with the new expansion boxes all in a new kit for a simliar price point. New Zealand is still on lockdown so we are waiting for things to normalize in the coming weeks so i can get the product here in the USA. Im expecting the expansion vareity kit to be ready around May 1st :-)
- Force of will has delayed the new release sets and the pomotional Ghost in the Shell new set for May 1st-15th range, and that is subject to change due to the crazy times we live in.
- Argent Saga Varierty kit with the new expansion is also delayed due to closures and will probably land around June 2020 range. Including some epic new exlucisve promos and accessories also
- Weiss Schwarz - I will be carrying the booster box set....whenever it actually gets released.
- Buddyfight / Cardfight Vanguard vareity kits will be avilable later this year when the world calms down
- Ikoria, Release is still on target for May 15th right now unless wizards delays it again. I will be carrying the Ikoria Collectors boxes at release. I have been told so far that these DO CONTAIN the Corono godzilla card, but i cant confirm until i see it myself. Whatever the price is on ebay/tcgplayer i will undercut it at the time. Save your money because ikoria looks like an epic product and i expect it to sell very well.

I fully expect the Ikoria collectors boxes will perform better than Theros collectors, but not as good as Throne collectors since they were the original with the lowest print run.
- Commander 2020 will be a smash hit just like Ikoria, wizards is going back to the 5 deck set of commander vs. the 4 deck set from 2017-2019. I like this decision. So yes Commander 2020 is more expensive, since wizards raised the price...again....and they also included a 5th deck. No matter what other youtube channels and the internet chatter says, i fully stand by Commander and Collectors products long term. History and data has given me no reason to believe otherwise.

- Reserved list and sealed market overall. As everyone is aware the 2020 Corona Crash recession is a weird time in the world. We are continuing to see the split of money and wealth divide even more as time marches forward. My biggest concern continues to be the impact on "resources" drifting to small groups of people as the middle class in the USA dissolves. That is something i spend a lot of time thinking about and having long term concerns with. I fully expect 25%-45% of all Magic stores will be bankrupt and not reopen when the dust settles. Distributors believe the number could be as high as 65% of stores wont open. I think thats to negative. This is going to cause a lot of turmoil in the mtg world and moving into the end of the year and 2021. No one can fully understand the long term impacts on mtg in the future due to this event.
- The number of people selling vintage collections and sealed product of all eras continue to remain at higher than normal level. I have not seen any sign of normalization in the mtg world. Based on this alone, i feel all mtg single cards and sealed products will remain under pressure and PRICES WILL NOT GO UP anytime soon. No matter what anyone tells you mtg is in a strong bear market and vintage will not uptick anytime soon. I think we are in for 3months to 3years of flat to negative returns. When the market does turn i think it will be very quiet and suttle over a long period of time.
I do not believe we will ever see the 2017 reserved list buyouts again. That was a black swan event. I do not believe it is repeatable at the scale from the past.
If you are stable and in a strong position to handle the 2020 economy, you should be adding to stocks/bonds/real estate/colletibles across the board...whatever your comfortable with. Go slow, dont be a hero and go all in, take your time and ride the price swings over the next 6-12 months.
I do believe "random" sealed mtg booster boxes will continue to grow in value and "surprise" a lot of people as the years move on. Negavitiy is pushing towards an all time high....investing/collecting and sitting on sealed product is pushing towards an all time low. This is a beautiful reciepe for long term "surprises"
I fully stand by the standard boxes i sell now for 79.99 the same way i stood by the product i sold in 2016,2017,2018 and 2019 for 79.99 (Eldritch moon,RtR,Gatecrash,Nyx,Iconic,M25,Ultimate,Commander2017,2018,2019,Kaladesh,Battle for zen,Aether Revolt,oath,shadows,ixalan,amonkhet,hour,dominaria,fate ref,dragons of tark etc...) History speaks for itself.
The more things change, the more they stay the same.
History will repeat itself, and magic will stand the test of time.
Secret lair is disrespectful and insulting to the legacy of magic and its loyal player base.

2020-04-22 04:32:31 +0000 UTCRudy won't have the regular boxes until the allocation period is up. That is usually 2 months. But with the delay, that time frame may be changed by WOTC. Once the allocation period is lifted, you should be able to get the regular Ikoria as part of your standard boxes.

I am in healthcare, my hours have been cut, it's not what you hear in the media.....Only ER and ICU hours are up. My research university closed before everything else did, since my immune system is lower because injuries/surgeries so I did save a little though...I wanted to reach out to rudy. I'm fortunate enough to be in a stable field and plan to diversify by supporting as many local establishments as possible. Game stores, record shops, music stores, breweries, etc. all started as someone's dream. It's not a smart model for personal financial success, but these are the places where we gather with friends (post quarantine), the places that make our communites vibrant, and support the families of good people. Buy what you can from your LGS, the rest from Rudy, and to hell with Secret Lair.
