I was thinking about ordering some MH boxes to sit on for a bit. I figured I may as well buy em from Rudy's emporium.

Seems like the best thing is if you want the set then buy the set. Dont be weak or wait for opportunities. Just get it if you want it. A good rule is to not let yourself be disappointed. Youll be more disappointed if you don't get the things you want when you want it. The trend I've seen is the booster box will gain value it might take more time, but it will.

Im going to be watching this like a hawk so I can at least order some.

Watch very closely...I don't believe they are killing the current power lvl of existing cards (sure maybe the uncommons/commons ;)...only adding more. 8) So far the only recognized power creep to a specific card I have seen is the Sliver Queen..but she will still hold her own in the Legendary slot card type due to sliver synergy I feel. I could be wrong.

Just wondering for LGS's Rudy: I heard that there would be two buy a box promos for this set. Does this mean you have a 50/50 chance of getting flusterstorm? Or does this mean you get both in the promo pack. I didn't know if you had any information on this.

This is a simple formula as is for all "print to demand" runs. (1) The frenzy for "new and powerful" cards leads to the increase of the initial price. As we are seeing right now. (2) The market eventually becomes saturated and we begin to separate the wheat from the chaff (the top dozen cards increase in value while everything stabilizes then starts plummeting in value. (3) More and more product is printed. Repeat step 2. The base price for the booster boxes continues to drop (4) New product is released (the new kid on the block) and interest in Modern Horizon begins to wane further. (5) Eventually the end of the print run is announced. (6) Booster box prices slowly increase over the course of the follow two years.. That being said. Don't panic. Don't overpay.

With the “print to demand” will you have the same type of 3 box sales throughout the life cycle of modern horizons much like battlebond or will it be more of a ultimate maszters when they’re gone they’re gone? Or is this too far away to tell? They got this Timmy riding the hype train. Tying to use reason and rational in my purchases.

Pain lands that replace themselves for cheap. That's the key. I don't think a whole cycle of Horizon Canopies will have nearly the same impact as the enemy Fetchlands did for MM17, but definitely better than the filter lands from M25.

This is crazy, albeit obnoxious. This is “print to demand” but not the same way Conspiracy 2 was? What if this doesn’t sell? Does the valve shut off and the boxes just retain their value? I’m not entirely against the pricing: I say buy it if one can afford it and if one thinks the price is fine. But it’s difficult for me to wrap my head around this price point on a product that is (in theory) widely available for the next 8-12 months. Anyway, looking forward to any videos that will evaluate this rollercoaster. Especially anything that articulates when one should purchase the product (particularly as a playable set; not necessarily an investable collectible). You the man, Rudy. Thanks for everything, per usual :-)

glad i picked up a hefty order of these around $180 a box. I had a feeling these would be good, Wizards has a tendency to overdue the first set then continue to get worse over time.

I'm glad I got my 6 boxes at 179.99. Time to sit back and watch it grow :). The price I mean.

i 100% agree...BUT remember a lot of people like to flip the singles/bxoes at the begining for a profit, thats what creates the frenzy at times
