Core 2019 - BACK IN STOCK

I enjoy Rudy's videos, but from a financial point of view the $10-15 a month one might spend to get access to cheaper boxes only makes them cheaper if you're able to buy them. If Rudy sells me one for $79, and I can get one for $95 at my LGS or online, after my $15 patreon I'm at a wash. I actually am out more money if I'm not buying at least one box from Rudy at those going rates every month, but I'm willing to write most of that off as support donation. Granted the more boxes you get from Rudy the more you come out ahead, but as he's said before, there is very little reason to buy 6 boxes of a standard set thats going to be in print for the next year, unless you are actively selling the cards. I'm trying to hang in there for him, but if Rudy cant sell me boxes when I need them, then all my $15 is doing is just supporting his channel. That change in value should give any smart consumer pause to reconsider their spending.

Oh yeah, the patrons that left may not have been angry directly at Rudy. It may just be that they were hoping to get the boxes before the second print run and since it was shorted, paying the Patreon amount just doesn’t make since to them. It’s not about supporting a YouTube content contributor they enjoy or whatever. It’s only about getting a deal on the cards ... and getting them on opening day. I just felt that needed saying.

I was able to get the Dominaria boxes (foil Karn and Teferi in same box!), so I passed on the initial order of M19 to allow others a chance. I was able to stumble upon a good deal for pre-release cases so I opted for those instead. I may grab a box or two later. Good luck to everyone.

Any idea what the profit margin per box will be in singles? I have high hopes for the set. It looks like there will be a decent demand for it, especially with the limited distribution that WotC is putting out to the distributors.
