So rudy how many boxes of Opus 2 and 3 do you have for sale @84.99??? might be tempted to drop 100 on the sub if you have a few hundred to sell? You cap the sales at 60 boxes cause your vids make it seem like the 100 sub is unlimited buys?

its not the stores fault THE distrubor GTS is at fault here, they sell boxes for 90-93.40 to the stores so you should understand how stores are pissed at someone selling boxes for 85, especially if you run/ran a store

The problem is GTS sells the boxes to other stores for $90 per so why would anyone ever buy from GTS if they can get from you for $85

I keep seeing people talk about boxes of magic going for 120, where are you from? Here in iowa they go for 90, usually 85 for a preorder.

this is Bullshit!!! how can one man ( even you Rudy) have this must effect??? I ran a store not to long ago for 3 years and I wouldnt allow something like this to hurt my business! Bunch of savages... and yes the answer is simply market both your stone and pricing better.

Pretty sure they can't actually make you change the price, especially because this is a somewhat membership that we pay for monthly. It is the price you have selected and this is a capitalistic economy, either learn to compete or lose. Only thing I could see them doing is ti boycott them. if that is the case, I will blow more money on FF and up my patron amount, I was already asking friends if they wanted to buy it from me for like 100 so which I can make some profit and still get my friends a really good deal.

There is only one distributor so they are probably paying the same price unless some get massive bulk deals.

They could either lower their prices, or keep them at $120 a box and see if people buy. I get the frustration, if I was a store owner and bought them at (example I have no actual knowledge) $98 a box, expecting $120 sales price and now all my customers buy them cheaper elsewhere it sucks. However, I know store loyalty sometimes beats out price. If I find an awesome store I'll pay a bit extra to keep them going. So either lower your price or build a loyal customer base.

MSRP on magic is like 140/box. So technically they were right. But around here it’s 110 - 120 at LGS and a few do preorder specials for 95-100

the spite responses are the lulz🍿🍿. lmfao my lgs told me mtg prices at $120/box was 20% discounted...i was like wtf...$40 over $80 is discounted??? honestly i get needing to hike to cover overhead, but really if they arent moving product not sure if thats a good business decision lol. another lgs asked for $99+tax for a box i can see that price getting bites anything more is the lulz.

I also was not planning on buying any, but this is making me consider buying some as well. Does however pose an issue with them just buying you out and funking us over. I'd suggest a cap or an "at own discretion" clause regarding the FF boxes. Bet you all the stores selling singles have that stupid "if ordering more than X, please contact us directly.." caveat. The fact that they are even complaining makes me sick.

I taste a bunch of salt from the other stores on this one, I plan to up my controbution for the Patreon for the FF alone so I can dip in that and magic as well.

Let me guess. It's stores like CoolStuff and TrollandToad. The only two that I'm aware of in the singles market. The same ones who are keeping Opus 1 singles prices high even though there is a massive amount of Opus 1 supply now. Evolve or die.

Up the price so you make a penny profit on the boxes instead of just the subscription profit. No one will have a right to complain, they already don't. How did you come across this information?

If "other" stores some how stop this deal all they are doing is hurting the consumer and ultimately themselves. At $120+ per box I doubt a TCG would be successful.

Thanks a ton Rudy. I'm waiting til exactly midnight 15th to put in my order. Hopefully everyone can be patient and wait til the proper dates. Wouldn't be fair for people to jump the gun and email early and eat up the stock. I just want it to be fair and do it the Rudy way.

Get bent scalpers, I loved FF and I even paid 200 for an opus1 box though I dont regret it, I'm aware I paid extra for nostalgia.Rudy offers not only cheap boxes of card games we like but also he talks about the economic side of this business, and ultimately financial lessons. I appreciate you Rudy! now I can be a kid again for cheap.

I hope you aren't affected by this. I get where those other stores are coming from, but they need to either adapt their business model, target other consumers who aren't willing to join an 'elite' membership club (essentially what Rudy is offering), or get out of the business. If the distributor caves on this then that's messed up.

Currently the most expensive cards in the set for pre-order are a dollar or less, and they want $150? There is no damn value in the set at that price. I will definitely be throwing in on this if it all goes through for you sir. At your price the game makes sense to play, but at their price (the cashing in on FF fame price) there is no reason to buy sealed at all.

Maybe some one should explain what a supply/demand curve is to these whiners. The can still sell their boxes but will have to wait for the inexpensive supply to run out. While Rudy may have a deep volume I doubt he is selling so much as to really hurt these guys on the local level anyway...

Pretty sure plenty of LCGs are able to sale MTG boxes at 110+ a box still. They do it all the time in SoCal. I'm down to pick up a case of each Opus between July and August if they're available.

I prefer the way Rudy has our system worked out. It's basically a Costco-esqe membership. You want boxes at wholesale, be a Patreon subscriber. You guys like his creepy videos and shit? Don't feel compelled to buy anything and just support the channel! I had the same problem offering deals on product when I had my wine business. Other competitors complained to the distributor of my pricing and club deals... unfortunately I got cut out. I was on the fence about FF as I only have two starter decks, but now I want it just to spite those other little bitch stores.
