About models

Just a quick report letting everyone know that I will definitely be moving to Blender 4.4 on all my current models releases and model updates, I know people usually wait a bit until move to new blender versions so bugs can get properly patched/fixed but the new features (specifically the new update for the tris-to-quads conversion) are literally too much of an undeniable time saving update for me as a mesh modder to just ignore.

I am aware my models already take a lot of time so not taking advantage of these features would be just dumb so I decided to permanently move to Blender 4.4 and all my upcoming model releases will be done in this version. This of course affects my upcoming Reina model release and upcoming updates.

For maps though, since there seems to not be a need to do the same for the maps since there are no new features that make it a must like with character models, although eevee next seems to be too good to ignore, most maps blend files saved on older versions before the ones that included EEVEE next (added in blender 4.2) seems to work just fine. Although I did use the light/shadow linking feature (added since blender 4.3) in a few maps so versions needed may still vary on each map release. I still use blender 3.6 to "load" most of my models but I will not share blend files from 3.6 anymore.

You may also noticed on the custom physics I made for Arhoangels Kasumi's model, technically I can do that same process to all my models but that would also mean It would take A LOT OF EXTRA TIME compared to how much it takes me to do these already, so I will most likely not do those for my future models, at least not on release, if I do add physics to my model it may be on an update or after I actually start working on them, it can be a complex process to have them added and I know most people have their own way to add physics. And MustardUI's actually has a simplified way to add your own physics to any model that uses the UI (more on this later). So in short, it's just a lot of extra work, please don't hope for physics for every model.
