Maya - Preview

Hey guys. Been a little while since I did an update, mostly due to being busy. Maya is complete and I spent a while figuring out how best to go about modular parts for potential dioramas for those interested in such a thing. What you see in the render is essentially the "tabletop model" with splashes for the tentacles to act as bases and to make for a nicer transition with the tabletop or a flat resin base for those who'd like to do so. What isn't pictured (but will be a bit later on) is that all the splashes are optional and there are modular tentacle extensions as well as base riser that would allow an adventurous model maker to lift the main model and tentacles higher from the surface to allow for resin pours and cross sections. All of these pieces have been pre-supported too (it will be a BIG model).

Normally I'd be test printing about now but my printer's LCD decided to die on me and cause mega problems. I also decided to try doing an upgrade to a 4k 5.5" screen that didn't really go as planned so I'm stuck waiting for a new 2k screen before I can test print her. I'll be getting the bust version and texture swatch done over the next couple of days so I'll likely be streaming working on the bust.

There will be more to come very soon and I'll detail the options available for Maya at that point too.
