Pretty much done with blocking in elements. Just have the chains/ropes for her to hold onto to get done. After blocking in the frilly bits under her breasts it was decided they didn't really work, I wasn't a massive fan of them in the concept either. The idea was to mimic the frills of jellyfish to push the aquatic theme a bit further but it was at odds with the rest of the patterns and shapes. Instead I opted for a band of what will likely be leather inlaid with metal tentacle/wave-like swirls as have been used around the rest of the model. I borrowed some of the armour designs from the Wakandan warrior women from Black Panther, adapting the shoulder guards and neck decorations to suit the aquatic theme some more and leading to a mix of cultural designs throughout intending to play upon the idea that every culture has stories of sea monsters.
Also started some work on the base. Going to carry on with that, add the chains/ropes and then start working on the other tentacle elements and extra pieces for a diorama. She's coming along rather nicely and I can get to the detail stage soon.
