The Heavenly Martial Empress Returns Chapter 302: Solarian Serum

“Ah, they used to be quite the unruly bunch! But I dare say, it’s quite refreshing to see them working diligently for me,” Xue said. “Please don’t worry. They’ve been quite good at helping me, and most of them have already mastered the first books of Alchemy, so they’ve become more useful. Also, Earth’s Science and all the equipment you brought me are truly fascinating! I’ve been able to successfully incorporate it with Alchemy, and everything has become so much clearer to me. Even more, I believe we’ve already made a breakthrough on the task you told us to prioritize most!”
“Oh, truly?” I wondered, feeling more interested.
“Yes, we’ve managed to fully analyze the DNA of the Solarians, the powerful Extraterrestrial Race that the man known as ‘Galaxy Man’ belongs to, which is the origin of his immense, god-like power, making him someone comparable to a Pseudo Venerable in terms of power and endurance,” explained Xue Xenxue. “Truly, this is an incredible thing! I never imagined there was the possibility for a lifeform outside of Murim to be born this ridiculously powerful. Their very cells are harder than our hardest metals, their blood boils the same as the plasma of stars, and even their DNA is hardy—incredibly tough to analyze!”
“So you’ve analyzed them to that extent,” I said. “The only thing I could secure was his blood and a part of his flesh and hair, but I’m glad it could be of use.”
“Yes! The most impressive thing is that despite his blood cells and muscle cells being apparently dead, they still are… alive,” Xue Xenxue said. “It appears that Solarians possess such vitality that even parts of their body they lose continue being alive for a long time! This has made it easier to analyze and run some tests.”
“So they remain alive even after… What?” I was honestly surprised. “This is really impressive. That race… Aren’t they like Gods?”
“You could call them one of the most gifted species in the Multiverse,” said Xue Xenxue. “But even that wouldn’t do justice to their kind. I truly shudder to imagine an entire planet of them… But that man told you they were extinct or something, right, Master?”
“Yeah, where he came from, the Solarians died long ago. I cannot even begin to imagine to what…” I said. “They most likely have some weakness…”
“Weakness? Well, we’ve run some tests. The cells die rapidly when exposed to certain types of UV rays. It appears that depending on the solar radiation they absorb, the cells either strengthen or weaken,” explained Xue Xenxue.
“I see. I suppose I could easily overcome that weakness with my innate abilities either way. I can absorb any light or radiation similar to Solarians,” I rubbed my chin. “Now, Xue Xenxue, have you been able to create a serum that can turn someone into a Solarian when taken?”
“We’ve created a prototype, yes, but we haven’t tested it yet, so it’s hardly safe… We don’t really know what it could do to you, Master,” he said. “So I would ask you to let us run some tests first.”
“Tests? With whom? You know that if you use it on some sort of beast, they might become so strong that a lot of you could die, right?” I wondered. “There’s no better test subject than myself. My entire being can be restructured at will. Even if I explode or burn to ashes, I’ll be fine.”
“Y-You have a point…” Xue Xenxue nodded. “However, I simply… didn’t want to suggest such a thing, Master. But if it’s you who suggests it, then I cannot really go against it. And quite honestly, I agree. You might be the perfect test subject—one that simply cannot die.”
The other immortals glanced at me in disbelief. They seemed surprised I offered myself as a guinea pig so easily…
I mean, why wouldn’t I?! If I can stack the power of a Solarian with my own Physique, then I could become several times stronger—or at least work toward that.
My Physique has been mostly stagnant this entire time. Perhaps the cells and DNA of such a god-like species were what I needed to refine it further.
“Please follow me. The first serum we’ve developed is upstairs,” Xue Xenxue said, as we walked toward the stairs and simply went up. It took us a few minutes, but it was a nice time. We talked about a few things, discussed some others, and also about what Murim has been doing lately.
“I see, so my dear disciples have been taking good care of the place. I’m glad,” I nodded. “I didn’t train them for nothing after all… Even though they might hate me because I never showed them love—because I feared the Heavenly Will would target them to torture me—I’m happy they’re prospering without being that monster’s targets.”
“So that was your strategy all along, Master? Incredible! You’re truly clever. By making it seem like you never cared about anybody, all of them were spared from the Heavenly Will’s wrath… If anything, it seems to just target you even now, when he revived that Venerable,” Xue Xenxue said. “I mostly joined them out of curiosity. I wanted to see another world. Murim had bored me already, with so many factions everywhere. It was getting harder and harder to procure materials for my experiments and research.”
“Well, I’m glad we met then, Xue Xenxue,” I said, as we entered a large laboratory that mixed both modern technology and a Murim Alchemy Room.
In the middle of the room, there was a large glass flask with a single serum floating inside it. It was red, glowing with golden light.
“The serum has been created with living blood cells and infused with various other ingredients that’ll allow anybody who injects this into their body to rapidly assimilate the cells and combine with them. It could be immensely painful—perhaps agonizing. Weak enough people might immediately die,” Xue Xenxue said. “But for someone like you, Master, I’m sure it’ll be just fine, right?”
“Hmm, the only way to see that is by testing it,” I smiled, opening my hand as Xue Xenxue handed it to me. Then I injected the syringe into my arm, directly into my veins, by purposely weakening my own flesh and blood to the point where it could be pierced by it.
FLUOSH!
I immediately felt a scalding hot sensation, as if I were injecting myself with hot magma directly into my veins—a truly agonizing pain… if I were weaker. But it didn’t feel painful, although it was strange and surprising.
