“Redeye, are you going to introduce me to your friend? Is she part of your family as well?”
The tall, muscular Egyptian man had a rather strong aura, acting high and mighty even before the Saurians, who looked much stronger, bigger, and more intimidating than he was.
He oozed confidence, something that was strange, seeing how Saurians despised all humans so much… Even if Redeye said that it was because they were highly technologically advanced, it still doesn’t sit quite well with me.
Just what is going on right now? The Saurians already are accepting humans, but only the Futuristic Ancient Egyptians… Which would only complicate the negotiations I wanted to do even more; how annoying.
To make things worse, it seems that Bloodclaw is getting too nervous out of nowhere. I didn’t think she would act this way; I guess even within her family, she’s not the highest in the hierarchy.
“That’s…!”
Merneith quickly recognized the man that was down there, squinting her eyes rather annoyingly.
“Do you know him?”
As I asked her that question, she remained in silence for a few seconds.
“Yes… That’s my uncle, my mother’s brother, and a traitor… He conspired with my stepmother against Mom!”
“Oh? I see… And what do you want to do with him, Merneith?”
“For now… Nothing, I am just as confused as you are, honestly! Let’s just watch. We need to first understand the situation after all.”
“Well said.”
I nodded; hearing her words relieved me. I didn’t want Merneith to suddenly lose her composure and appear out of nowhere to attack that man.
For now, let’s stand back and watch what happens.
If things escalate out of proportion or if Bloodclaw’s life is in danger… We might have to step in.
“Ah, yes! Of course, how could I not introduce you, my dear guest?” Redeye smiled, waving his claws, as he wore many golden accessories, some that had Egyptian decorations.
It seems these High Saurians already sold themselves out to the Ancient Egyptians, judging by all the luxurious items that one was wearing… I couldn’t quite tell if it was a male or a female, though.
“His name is Djet-Ka,” Redeye said, smiling. “He is a member of high society and nobility within the Egyptian Royalty, and someone that possesses great fortune and resources. Among our first supporters. With his help, not only will we reclaim our original home and kill all those uncivilized monkeys, but we’ll also be able to take over this planet as well, and the next, and many more!”
“I am honored to meet you, Bloodclaw, was your name?” Djet-Ka smiled confidently. “Your kin is rather unique due to their amazing Psychic Abilities. You’re surprisingly compatible with our technology as well. Our alliance was born from an exchange of resources and technology. Although at first we ended fighting… We were able to get past our differences once our leaders realized how we could benefit much more from an alliance. We share similar goals, expansion. While you’ve mastered the technology to create and control the Portals, we can offer you powerful technology much stronger than yours, capable of amplifying your strength and giving you never-seen-before abilities. Together, we can make the multiverse our playground.”
“I-I see…” Bloodclaw seemed conflicted. Perhaps one side of her seemed joyful about such a thing, but another was very nervous and also scared of what this truly could mean.
And indeed, I would be lying if I said I wasn’t worried either… This is getting out of control; if they can truly control Timeline Portals with just technology alone, then they can truly do anything they want. Countless worlds could fall to them in just days…
Dammit, and I just came here with my family to have a nice picnic in outer space… But things never take a pause, do they?
“Imagine, Bloodclaw! With the vessel of the Saurian God by our side, and your entire fleet, plus their help, what can’t we do now?!” Redeye laughed. “We can invade countless similar parallel versions of these planets and obtain endless resources… And endless brainless monkeys to crush too, bwahahaha! Right?”
“Indeed! Those lowly monkeys cannot compare to my family, hahahaha!” Djet-Ka laughed; it seemed the Futuristic Ancient Egyptians didn’t even consider themselves the same race as us.
“But this…” Bloodclaw muttered, looking conflicted, as she noticed many other Saurians seemed to show some distrust towards Djet and actually didn’t quite like the idea either. Despite being loyal beings, they might have thought that this was just too much; most here were just soldiers that wanted to get back home already.
“What?” Redeye suddenly looked back at Bloodclaw. “What are you trying to say? Wait, where’s the vessel of the Saurian God at? I would like to have a meeting with his divinity right now, Bloodclaw! …Bloodclaw? Are you listening to me? Hey! Stop spacing out, short tail!”
“No, this is wrong!” Bloodclaw suddenly spoke loudly, her Psychic Aura surging from her body, as the Saurians around her suddenly gasped.
“Hah?” Redeye glared at her angrily, raising one of their scaled eyebrows. “What do you mean it’s wrong?”
“…” Djet-Ka’s face turned serious, glaring at Bloodclaw with wariness.
“None of us wanted this, Redeye!” Said Bloodclaw. “Coming here to gather new resources, or even calling the Saurian God, all of these people just want to go home already… Getting involved in conquering thousands of planets?! Why would we ever need to do that when our planet is already a peaceful utopia?! Let the monkeys alone as well; what have they done to deserve so much hatred? It has been millions of years since we left them!”
“What… nonsense… Are you… even speaking right now, Bloodclaw?!”
Redeye immediately went ballistic the moment Bloodclaw spoke their mind, their Psychic Aura surging from their body, overflowing with a clear green color, spreading like a poisonous gas.
Meanwhile, Bloodclaw’s Psychic Aura was red like blood, spreading with sharp ends, like countless claws or knives.
“Your God is dead!” Bloodclaw said. “He was an arrogant, senseless, and emotionless monster that never cared about any of his people! And my entire fleet? Destroyed too! I died even if it wasn’t for the benevolence of someone that only desired peace; I would’ve remained dead, you know?!”
“HAH?! BLOODCLAW! WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THOSE WORDS?! OUR GOD… DEAD?! THE FLEET… I DON’T LIKE YOUR STUPID JOKE…!”
“THIS IS NOT A JOKE, REDEYE!”
RUMBLE!
