Not only does no one want to kill him because he's such a great legend, but also, no one has the balls to become king and claim to be a better one ! Nevertheless, they have the right to be angry with him! It's ironic that Ivar criticizes his brothers for being too soft. His life as a disabled person has hardened him, whereas the others as you said have merely benefited from the Lorthbrock name. I'm referring to Aslaug's children, of course. We've reached a point in the series that I struggled with. Ragnar is supposed to be nearly 50 years old, whereas, obviously, Travis Fimmel was far from that age. And it's even worse for the old female characters.
