Oda thinks that a shonen nekketsu (i.e. manga for young teenagers centered around adventures and fights) does not aim to tell love stories.

2023-11-07 15:12:07 +0000 UTCWhat I have heard about the Pell situation is that that arc was happening around the time of 9/11, so the editors felt it would be badly received to have Pell killed in the air by a bomb so they asked Oda to make it so he didn't die. At least that's what I've heard, don't know if it's true. But regardless, this spawned the meme of the "Will of P." :P
