Yeah I also think she should have won and Sarada's loss could have pushed her to be more ruthless with her opponents because her being afraid to hurt her competitors can be very detrimental in the future.

And this shows that this episode actually gave her a personality besides being a narcissist.

Sarada, on the other hand, had nothing to gain other than preparing herself to kill Boruto. Idk I'm a sucker for the underdog and Cho-Cho deserved that win imo

It was brought up at the start of the show as one of the 3 basic types of combat styles, arguably one of the most powerful considering what it's capable of; and yet noone ever really uses it... ever. Probably cause it doesn't make good actions scenes I guess

2023-05-17 11:25:14 +0000 UTCWhile that is one option for sure: it's also possible that boulder mode is stronger defensively, and butterfly mode is stronger offensively; so she made the choice to pick the better options on hand instead of going giant mode. Thats what I was saying about not being able to use them both at the same time; but that's just a theory of course.

I think a reasonable explanation as to why she didn't use it is because Shika said they spent a lot of resources rebuilding the stadium and they don't have the budget to fix it if it gets wrecked again so maybe she thought she'd cause too much damage if she were to use it.

My statement of "just tank it" was saying that anything strong enough wouldn't be just completely blown off like you seemed to imply. Lightning blade is exactly that; a blade. As long as whatever it's hitting is tought enough: say; the arm of someone that excels in physical combat; its not likely to be instantaneously destroyed. As for the speed thing: that is literally my point: they are both fast. Yes, one is/will be on a different level; but you seem to be acting like its a 1 to 100 difference, when in reality it's more like 85 to 100. Also; you and Brianna are both right about giant mode: though i am curious how giant mode interacts with boulder and butterfly mode; it they aren't compatible or require more skill to be compatible, that might explain why she won't use it.

2023-05-17 10:55:10 +0000 UTCwell, if it says so in the data book than it might change some things, but only about lighting balls specifically, you still can't take lightning blade head on, and please avoid using character names that are specific to the show(Lee isn't unique one that's why I used it), Lucky might get into troubles for that. her not using the giant form is another thing, I'm talking about what has happened and how "logical" that was. Her taking that form probably would've been a better more suiting fight, cuz she literally was fighting in her opponents domain instead of using her own advantages, if it was that way and they showed us a close fight, I would've take that, but not the way it was in the series

2023-05-17 10:27:21 +0000 UTCActually in the databooks they say CC has lightning style due to her mother who was from the hidden cloud village but of course the anime's not going to include that since glasses girl has a lot of lightning based attacks to avoid being similar so it's not too much of a stretch to think she can punch lightning balls especially when Kkshi in shppden during the kakazu fight was able to catch a lighting attack in his hands. Honestly CC would have had a huge advantage if she would have made herself giant like in the first chunin exam where they were hunting flags.

Which energy are you talking about? Who and how has repeled lightning blade previously with their bare fist and why chuby could've also? "Her father speedblitz ...", yeah and the father of the other one is literally the second fastest or at least one of the fastes human beings in the history, anyway how is that projecting on her? Yes, the best way to dodge something is to get hit by it, bruh just stop and take the L at this point ... you are making things up and take unreletable, probably filler stuff into consideration

There's various ways to block: including just tanking the hit; which considering she lost after the lighting blade is most likely what happened. [The end of series was also on a completely different power level: I don't think you can really say either one of the girls would be at god-mode strength right now] Yes: you need to move that fast while using Lightning blade: but *only* when using lightning blade. She's not moving full speed all the time: and chubby as her opponent is: she's still faster than you're giving her credit for. Her father was able to speedblitz his Sensei during the last war; just because their chubby doesn't mean they're slow in a fight.

2023-05-17 09:57:03 +0000 UTCIt is strange, her opponent has no lightning style, she can't resist it like Sa... casting lighting on himself to neutralize bombs, he could've do it because it's his nature and he has some resistance, what should've happened is her arm getting blown-off by that finishing attack like in the end of the second season(what happened to the mc, of course not the same situation, this references if for understanding the power of the attack). Do you even realize what you're saying, "moving faster", who? her opponent? This is just stupid considering who is fighting who. You do understand that using lighting blade you "need to achieve the speed required" which is also was explained in the first season as the thing that you are referring to, and that speed was equal to Lee's without weights on, and now you are implying that her chuby opponent is simply faster than her??? She held off in the first part of the fight, all the things that I've described also happened in the second where they were "serious". This fight, was stupid, it was a filler not a cannot, so obviously it was created without taking a cannon into consideration by the animation studio who've bended cannot all they want throughout the series, it's a dumb thing to argue against it. It's not surprising that two children still learning would be about even. Also: did you not see the part where she was deliberately holding back because she wasn't committed?

Lucky not only can CC do the butterfly mode without the pills but remember even CJ couldn't do the simple partial expansion jutsu of just his arms or legs without the pills either. Could you imagine how much of a better chance CJ would have done in those preliminaries if he could have enlarged his fists or legs like CC can. Now that I think about it CC could have gained an advantage in this match if she would have just made herself giant, at first I thought well she doesn't have that ability yet but she actually does because she did it in the first chunin exam arc during the flag hunt and she grabbed the tiny flag in between her two giant fingers.

They clearly upgraded one character to show and equal fight when in reality it would've been like in previous exam "1...2...3... it's over". Also, where is the monstrousous strength that she inherited from her mother, her fist should be even more deadlier than those big one's of the other girl
