2024-05-25 16:30:39 +0000 UTCThe animation effect was created through a process called rotoscoping, it involves physically animating over the film, a lot of early Disney stuff they would draw like a silly ghost over Cab Calloway https://youtu.be/IS1hCSsmH1E?si=P0LSrSJyUwCif9Bb , i believe computers were used in this film but this was pre AI so artists worked on it https://movieweb.com/a-scanner-darkly-production/ And there is no sequel, its a self contained story.
