Whatβs actually hilarious about this episode and the Ronald Spiers scene in particular is that they had to tone it down for the show. Lmao! He was actually running a much longer distance and laughing and taunting the Germans the whole time. I believe Spiers was also involved in the last patrol that takes place in episode 8. he was actually injured or shot and was out there the next day. Lol. Spiers is an absolute legend! ππΊπΈ

The Lugers were *notorious* for accidental discharges. They went off really easily by handling, and a lot of times they really did have holster discharges.
