She most likely only went cuz she heard the news of a nearby funeral going to take place and wanted to meet Tony and get money so she went.

In my opinion the story he told the games about his dad's girlfriend wasn't about downplaying his mom like 99% of them have a girlfriend and most mob guys loved JFK he was a friend of the mob a long with his dad till he became president and made his brother United State Attorney General and tried to go after the Mob so it's rumored they killed him and his brother but the story was used to make his dad look like that guy he got a girl so good looking that a president like JFK wanted her it's a status and appearance thing

Also, Tony's insistence on idolizing his father and villanizing his mother is his way of excusing his own behavior. Livia "drove" his father to all his other women, just like he feels Carmela did to him. That way, he and his dad aren't assholes. They are victims of the bad women they tied themselves to. Tony automatically blames his mother for the loss of his dog instead of the possibility that his dad took him and gave him away to score points with his ho. The women are to blame for their behavior, not them.

On season 1, Livia was at her husband's grave, pulling weeds, she brought fresh flowers and was offended at the plastic ones that someone had put on the grave, and she was cleaning his headstone. His ho was sitting on a bench.

The rest of this season is straight 10s the rest of the way through. Probably a 60% chance Tony would have slept with Fran before she had her Skyler White moment.

I don't think Fran planned on meeting Tony there. We've actually never seen Tony visit his dad's grave. Her singing is the cringiest, most uncomfortable thing. I usually skip it. It is so awful.
