This all reminds me of when the ‘Guild Adepts’ dropped *Xanathars Lost Notes, and everyone wanted to play those subclasses… and everything was/is worded wacky and sooo abusable.

This was my take on the subclass in our internal slack:
Moon domain seems real good for a buffing Cleric. In fact, it's basically a Clerical JTAC class, lasing targets for everyone else to snipe with huge damage.
Good domain spell list for support/control, 1st level gets a PB times per LR reaction to give advantage on Wisdom saves in 30 feet, which is great. CD includes 10 minutes of giving an ally advantage if an ally is within 5 feet (sorta like sneak attack), at 6th they get a second concentration spell as long as they're both Domain spells, which is OK cause that includes Invis/Greater Invis., Hypnotic Pattern, Moonbeam, Faerie Fire, Silent Image/Major Image/Hallucinatory Terrain, etc. So basically you either laser designate your own targets with Faerie Fire and then call in orbital Ion Moonbeams on them, or you can do these things while invisible.
Like I said: JTAC.
8th level gets cleric cantrips doing +WISmod damage, so basically a mini-Agonizing Blast for your Sacred Flames and Toll the Deads. Rad.
17th gets a 1 minute, 60 ft radius dim light + everything saves at disadvantage (you choose who is unaffected) and every turn you can curse someone in the radius for half speed and can't heal, and it counts for the dual concentration feature. 1/LR. Love it.
This is probably the baseline subclass you'd use to make the cleric equivalent of the God Wizard controller build, I think.
