Expert Classes - Feats video (1 of 2)

I cover 30 of the 50 feats in the new UA

Also, as a special treat, if you watch this before Monday, you'll know exactly where the google ad spots are going to be that you don't have to watch.

Hey Chris, great video! I'm so looking forward to your conclusion at the end of the next one ;) In regard on dual wielding with a hand crossbow, there is a workaround that isn't so akward: 1. Wield a hand crossbow in one hand. 2. Use the attack action to draw a light melee weapon with the 'thrown' property and throw it. 2.1. If you have the Extra Attack Feature, draw another light melee weapon with the 'thrown' property and throw it. 3. Use the extra attack grantet by "Light Weapon Property" to fire your hand crossbow and reload it with your now free second hand. I don't know if this is intendet, but it should work in the current One D&D UA version.

As I take in One D&D more, I believe the developers have goals they haven't clearly communicated. 1) They are trying to make the game more approachable to NEW & CASUAL players. Every background now grants identical # of skills/tools/money. Replacing Fifteen 2014 background features with 10 1st level feats (eliminate gotchas like you must be a charlatan to get this feature). Exposing only 10 feats to level one characters is simpler. They consolidated a bunch of things that granted powers ASIs, Background features, Epic Boons and Feats all become simply Feats. To those playing for the first time its easier and cleaner. 2) They are trying to make it so that hours advanced study isn't required to properly build a reasonable character: eliminate optimizer "trick build features" that would not be known to a casual player and move power sources upfront where they're more obvious. They are also trying to "tighten the spread" between good and bad choices, and stop locking players into being "stuck" with a suboptimal choice. 3) assist starting GMs by giving basic guidelines and not requiring a masters degree in D&D to figure out things like interactions, surprise and hiding.
