That said, I don't think this really changes things much. web+repelling blast is still great even without the double save. I am playing a sorlock in a 10 month running campaign, and everything else you say totally holds up. This was my first character, ever, so I had not read the rules completely when I made him---so he is sadly a divine soul. Still a very potent combination, and a lot of fun... I play him as a priest of Lathander who has been partially possessed by a devil since birth; think the end of the Exorcist. I delayed /2 warlock until level 11, a choice I don't really regret. I'm about to take /3 at 14.

Yes, you are correct.

You made a crucial mistake about web. Web does NOT trigger a save after repelling blast. It says "enters them during IT'S turn". This is why Evard's Black Tentacles is a superior option.

Good ideas in this build! I like hexblade's curse + magic missile- solid idea. I wonder, if actually playing at 1st level, if one shouldn't choose mage armor and then swap it for magic missile later to increase survivability at level 1? I was also surprised polymorph didn't make your cut-- would you have polymorph for a while and then swap it out or never take it? Re your looping comments RE Short rests/ sorcery points etc. : Do you think it's somehow discourteous/ bad to play an elf, take your trance at the start of the party's long rest and swap 3 short rests into sorcery points and thence spell slots, while the party is finishing taking their long rest (whether in a build like this or a "Half-caf" coffee-lock style build [the latter if the campaign will never reach high levels]). Personally, I don't see an issue here. as it doesn't impact the adventuring day, and extra spell slots help the party. Thanks!
