Hello. I decided to do a rather long and complicated project. This is its first part, so to speak. One could say a very early alpha.
I've wanted to port one of the levels from Hitman 2 for a long time, but I didn't have the right tools, and I didn't want to mess around with rippers, especially since the ripper doesn't work with this game.
In general, I was told one not bad but rather complicated way to get a full map of the level. It took me about a week, not without someone else's help. Also, about another week I invented various scripts that will simplify my porting in the future, mainly it was sorting, renaming, etc., because the resources are exported simply with hash names and it is not even clear on which mesh which texture and which mesh is the LOD, and which is the main model.
I will use all the LODs that originally exist in the game, because the map is planned to be not small and quite busy, this also slows down the porting, but should have a positive effect on performance.
In general, here is a small piece of the future map. It really took a lot of work, for me this is a completely unknown and unfamiliar engine, I am studying, so to speak, in real time what and how works here.
