Musings
Added 2020-10-05 23:33:09 +0000 UTCI have been asked more than once: will maps with patreon ever be made publicly available ? For example, the steam workshop. Personally, I think that such actions will be very incorrect in relation to subscribers. Someone pays money for it, and someone after a certain time, for example, a month, two or half a year will get it for free... What do you think about this ?

I still think that leaving all these projects unique to Patreon is the right decision.

2020-10-13 00:13:04 +0000 UTCThe problem is that maps are not made very quickly. This is usually a month or more. At the same time, I don't want users who subscribe even for $1 to be left without anything. I'm still at a loss and spread almost "everything for everyone" i.e. for $1+. I simply don't have time to do more to please both of them. It happens that I make one model almost instantly in about 10 minutes. On the other hand, I spend an hour or more trying to fix the UV or appearance of the model, or even cut one large model into several separate ones. SE is a fairly old engine and the lighting on large models may not be predictable.

I like the idea of some of your maps being exclusive, but if you want to release them for free then go for it. Maybe keep some free as higher tier rewards to give people incentive to support you at a higher level?

2020-10-06 11:11:22 +0000 UTCI think making the maps available1-6 months later would be great for everyone down the line. patrons can get early access to the maps, vote for future projects and give feedback. When the maps get released more people can see your maps and use those maps in sfm/gmod. and in return, your work is given more exposure and could bring more people into your patreon. But im not sure where you can release the more lewder maps like vr paradise
