Why I made a Patreon and what it means for the future!

This might be a bit to read but you should definitely take a look!

Thank you all so much for becoming a patron! Here's some things to expect from being a part of this journey:

First off, I've never done any kind of paid content before. So this will be a huge learning experience for me, and many changes might come to this Patreon page as time goes on. I will do everything I can to satisfy all my Patrons, and I will engage with as much feedback and comments as I possibly can. You have my Word.

Second, I want you all to know why I've started a Patreon. Without getting too deep into my personal life, I have a pretty bad job, and I am a full time college student (Except for right now because I'm on break at the time of posting this).

I want to make enough money to live and sustain myself and make animation my full time job, and I would also like to drop out of college so I can dedicate all my time into this. All the money I make from this Patreon I will use to pay my bills, and to also invest into making an animated series for Flower, and many other future projects!

I've been doing animation & music for so many years now, and I started ever since I was just a very little kid. I think now is the time to unleash my fullest potential.

With your help, I will be able to deliver an animated series like no other, and possibly make history on YouTube for it. And now you're going to be a part of the journey!

Glad to have you all here, and I understand that many of you are only going to be a Patron for 1 month, I completely understand. If you are struggling financially I encourage you to take care of yourself first before helping me out.

Any questions that you have shoot me a message or leave a comment below!

Much love to you all! Looking forward to lots of fun stuff here!

I think I speak for all of us but I want and would love to help make your dream a reality (I wish you luck on your journey)

Gidget

Perhaps you can get in with an animation company, you clearly have the skills.

TheEquineConnoisseur

I don't mind the rambling, your kind words mean a lot to me! Glad to have you as a Patron! <3

LFØ

Thank you!!

LFØ

You're doing Celestia's work ! You have great ideas, great concepts, and as everyone and many others, we believe in you !

My older brother and I were (and still are) big fans of FiM and he actually pointed out your animations to me a few months ago, specifically the first Flower animation. The flower animations I've seen so far are so amusing and adorable, not to mention pretty dang well made, that when he sent me the link to your Patreon announcement video this morning, I was immediately on board. I really hope you can turn your passion into your living (I mean, I know you didn't explicitly state that animation and music are your passion, just that you've been doing it since you were a kid, so I'm assuming a bit) and that you can find enjoyment in it every step of the way. Please excuse my slight case of rambling, I tend to start talking and then have a hard time finding a stopping point (:P). I've been called a male Pinkie Pie before (Which is always a big compliment to me, since she's my favorite and saved me from my own negativity back when I first found the show). Anywho-dee-doo, I wish you all the best and look forward to seeing what else you'll make. :)

All hail the YouTube algorithm, without it many of us wouldn't be here

Gaiendbedrock

Happy to help you out, I think the majority of us are struggling in the world but the few seconds of happiness you will bring us is totally worth it, this will be first time in 15 years of using YouTube that I subscribed for a patron but felt this was to special not to be a part of 😍

Brandon Kearney

Well I'm glad you found Flower! Thank you so much for becoming a Patron!

I'm a Veteran of the old mlp when it first came out, it was my childhood and it helped me grow as a person. So when one day on YouTube just surfing I found you video of flower and I Immediately fell in love with how dopey she was and now seeing that I can support you hell yeah I'd love to do so.

Creighton J DiOrio

Of course! I'm doing this because I love doing it! Thank you so much for your support!

LFØ

You need money to make money. But money means nothing without happiness. I'm like $20,000 in debt and still backing you. Flower makes me happy, as I'm sure Flower does for others. Please do your best to make more but no pressure. If you're not happy when you make it, it may not be enjoyable for us. I would rather wait for quality Flower content, than have you rush it out. Thank you for your time and effort. Your creativity is appreciated. Hope you have a good summer.

TAKE MY MONEY

Gaiendbedrock

I've seen (and I'm sure you have as well) so many mediocre animators without a shred of real talent make it big with productions that weren't even a fraction of the quality that Flower is. I wish you the absolute best in following your dream and have absolutely no doubt you're going to reach your goal! *edit*: I would normally agree with the, "finish college first" mentality IF you had anything to improve on, but you're already WAY above the level of most media and animation grads lol

Appreciate it! And thank you for supporting my Patreon!

LFØ

Sure. It's easy to tell someone this if you don't have to face the consequences yourself...

LittleDog

Wish you the best of luck then ^,^

LittleDog

LFØ do whatever makes you happy man, you got my support all the way!

NeonFoxJester

I think this is more important. I worked so hard for so many years to get to this point, I can’t throw it all away and spend the next 3 years focusing on school work that makes me miserable. I appreciate you expressing your concerns though. ❤️

LFØ

I want to be self employed, and maybe at some point start a business. The career path that I want is not something that can really be fulfilled with a college degree since I’m not looking to work for someone else.

LFØ

mares!

I left the university on the 5-th year (out of 6) studying programming. I could've left after the second year, honestly, and I would still end up with the same good job. I am lucky that both my education and job are about programming, and diplomas play no role in hiring in this sphere. So.. of course this doesn't apply to any sphere equivalently. It makes sense to evaluate your path realistically, and have backup plans. Although, as I said, you'd better do something that makes you happy on your job, rather than stick with a bad and depressing one

Veetaha

I look forward to what you can do with Flower! Take the time and as they said, do what makes you happy.

Skyline

That's a good question hmmm

LFØ

Would advise you to take a long look and examine your potential paths as much as possible before making a huge commitment. Bounce ideas off those you trust, especially those who have done what you're attempting to do.

IamUnknown

100% depends on the field. It's useful to have the credentials, especially if acquired in a low-debt way and towards potential career paths that are more in line with what they want to do.

IamUnknown

Do whatever makes you happy and gives you food. Don't listen to those who tell you to finish college. In the end, education is just to let you find a job. If you have one already, then college isn't very useful

Veetaha

Let’s do this

Sweet Shot

Pls finish college first. It's WAY more important for your Future.

LittleDog

Why is Flower such a cute horse?
