As many of you know, Suga from BTS has been going through quite the difficult time following a fall he took on a scooter. A few people commented on my YouTube videos that they would like me to react to Boracity's newest video talking about the incident and going further into the media and scandal issues that South Korea faces.
I found the video to be super informative but I don't want to add fuel to the fire of his controversy but instead I'd like to open the conversation to dive into the deeper issues surrounding his fall and how the media has reacted to it.
SO! My question is.. do you think I should post my reaction to Suga Controversy video by Boracity to my youtube channel OR..not?

After doing some more thinking on the matter and rewatching BoraCity's video, I think adding to the conversation of the severe effects these smear campaigns can have on a celebrity's life might do some good. I'm team Suga 100% and I just feel awful watching all of this hate directed at him for such a small mistake so I'm going to take the risk and post the video to my youtube as well but all of your insights and input were very helpful in me making my final decision so thank you so much!

2024-08-17 21:03:27 +0000 UTCYeah 😭😭😭 I don’t remember the condom one very well because it happened before I was a fan, but yeah. It’s so messy. I don’t think any of them were as bad as this though. Although there was a campaign to kick JHope out of BTS at one point (because they said he was ugly??? Ffs) so this isn’t the first time people who “claim” to be ARMY have gone out of their way to hurt the boys. It’s important to do what we can to uplift them, because we all know how much more damaging unkind comments are, even when they’re in the minority. 😭

Jin with a condom is sending me HAHAAH That must be so annoying for them to deal with and it just honestly breaks my heart that we get one human experience on this Earth and because some people are insane and want to tear down others, Idols can't even enjoy the fame and money they've worked SO hard for.

We love and support the boys, and international ARMY doesn’t care about something as small as a 1000 ft drunk scooter trip, but Yoongi still has to apologize for it, and there are still going to be people attacking him because of it. For those of us that get really defensive of our boys, it’s hard 😅 Chen from EXO has a daughter and wife, and a lot of his fans have never forgiven him for it. Jungkook got into a scandal for smoking a cigarette, and Taehyung got into a scandal for having a vape pen, and Jin got into a scandal for having a condom. This is definitely the biggest scandal they’ve had imo, but it feels just as insane to me. When I heard, I just thought it was funny 😭 like wtf 😭😭😭 Of course YOONGI of all people lost his license because he fell off a scooter and there happened to be police officers behind him.

I would definitely post it here before posting it to YouTube so it might be a good way to test the waters and see if it would be a good idea to post over there too. 100% agree about idols being held to unrealistic expectations! The whole situation has been blown so far out of proportion 😭

A good way to have the conversation about idols and scandals without fanning the fire too much or stirring up drama on your channel. That being said: idols dealing with this kind of scandal is literally the kind of thing that Yoongi has been talking about for years. Idols are held to absurdly unrealistic expectations.
