This month I sat down with my friend Payton Knobeloch of PBS's Flyover Culture to talk about Superman Smashes the Clan, a short comic series by Gene Luen Yang and Gurihiru.
Payton and I dive into the book's message and discuss whether or not subtlety in antiracist art is particularly useful. We also talk comics, the role of art in swaying public opinion, and how gosh darned wonderful this series is.
