Flight Of The Navigator (runtime 1:29:38) - Patreon Version

Hi everyone! 😊
Yaaaay! So many of you have recommended this movie, and now we all get to watch it together ❀️ This was so adorable and fun - one of the best family friendly movies I have ever seen. And those puppets!? OMG... I know they were only in the movie for a little bit, but they stole the show. I think I've got to start collecting weird little puppet guys for our background now haha

Wow, I forgot how great this movie is. Excellent reaction, and I'm so happy you guys enjoyed it so much. Haha, I forgot all about the puppets too. Loved Chandra's reaction to them! A few movies that I think would make great follow-ups to this one because they're huge 80s classics, and because they have puppet work I know you two would highly appreciate: -The Dark Crystal -Labyrinth -The Neverending Story I think in the case of The Neverending Story, it's more animatronics than puppets, but I believe you'll have the same appreciation for them as you would if they were puppets. For that one, remember, Theatrical, not Director's. For the other two, some of what appears to be puppetry may actually be real people inside suits, but honestly, I can't even tell the difference for some of the...things, and in any case, both Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal are a puppet lover's dream. The Dark Crystal is an incredible film that I think you two would find particularly interesting because it has no human actors (or at least none you can see outright). It relies entirely on puppets and animatronics.

It has been too long since I watched this! That original Walt Disney intro before the film and the soundtrack brought back wonderful memories. Think I still have a VHS of this somewhere lol. Some trivia: When in NASA Dr. Faraday makes David a test trying to explain what happened to him, in the monitors can be seen different texts in Phaelonian. Actually it's English language with the letters changed to symbols to create the Phaelon alien language. Chandra was right! It was Paul Reubens's idea to make the identity of the actor providing the voice of Max a mystery and he was credited as "Paul Mall". In the original script, David was to return back in time to 1978 and there meet and befriend a (much younger) Carolyn McAdams. Actress Keri Rogers, who played Jennifer Bradley, said she had originally been cast as the 12 year-old version of Carolyn, and wasn't notified until after arriving on set that the part had been written out. The character of Jennifer Bradley, whom Rogers would eventually play, was apparently hastily conceived by producers at the last minute in order to accommodate her.
