Planet Of The Apes (1968) - Patreon Version

Hello there!
We hope you're all having a wonderful weekend ❤️❤️❤️

As promised, we're posting this poll winner much quicker than usual, and why the heck not on a Saturday... figured we'd try something new haha. And remember, Little Nut and Salted Nut tiers will also have it available to them! We also won't be putting up a YouTube edit right now, but that may change later on.

This movie absolutely blew our minds... there's so much to love about it, I could go on for hours and hours about the scenery, the acting, costumes, EVERYTHING really! So thank you everyone who voted for us to watch it. And we can't wait to see more classics with you 😍

Umm could you synch periodically during the broadcast so if we can't sit through an entire episode or movie, we can at least get back to your responses to what we are watching? Lots of full length content providers don't just synch at the beginning but offer other "short synch" opportunities periodically. I only say this because I very much enjoy your responses but for various reasons within and out of my control I can't stay synched from 3 2 1. Edit - Sorry and to clarify. Your counter counts down from the start, but my counter counts down from what's left so the numbers don't help., though I wish they did. Second edit - I appreciate that you got the importance of both the treatment of "animals" and the twist of them being back on Earth. It definitely sets the scene for the sequels.

Ohhh, I got so excited when this popped up, but I couldn't (and still can't) watch the whole reaction because of time. I will be back to watch it as soon as I can, but for now, I listened to your thoughts at the beginning and end, and just wanted to say a few things while the thoughts are fresh. I think when I talked about these movies before, I mentioned that it wasn't necessary to watch this original film in order to see the newer movies, but that there are homages to this film in the newer ones, so you'd get more out of the newer ones if you see this one first. Now that you have seen this one, you're good to watch the newer ones anytime, however, I think you two might enjoy some of the other older sequels. There is a point where they really go downhill and you should stop, but unfortunately, my memory is a little fuzzy on the other older films, so I can't tell you exactly where you should stop. If I had to guess, I'd say maybe watch the second, and then stop (or is it the third?), but someone who's more familiar with the older films please correct or confirm. Here is my suggestion regarding the first newer film, though. If you are going to watch any of the other older movies (whether all or only some). I would say watch the first of the newer movies, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, first while the memory of this one is still fresh before continuing with the older era movies. I say this because, as far as I remember, most of the callbacks in the newer films are to this film in particular, and Rise, the first newer film, only has callbacks to this one. You'd want to see Rise while those callbacks are still super fresh in your minds. Then, if you want to watch other older ones, either go back and watch the second, and maybe the third, then stop with the older ones all together, and go forward and watch Dawn and War, OR, watch all the older, then Dawn and War. Which one you choose will depend on how much you really want to see all the older ones. Honestly, though, if you wanted to, you could watch all the newer ones now, and they would still make complete sense. I hope I didn't just confuse you, haha. As far as Spaceballs goes. I'd suggest you watch that as soon as possible. If Jordan has seen it, he knows why I'm saying this.
