Welcome to the "Joffrey sucks" club! I remember when the show was originally airing, the actor who played Joffrey, Jack Gleeson, was getting hate mail, people accosting him on the street, calling him names, etc. That had to suck for him but, in a way, it's kind of a compliment too. He played Joffrey so well, made him so detestable, that people confused the actor with the character and couldn't stop themselves from yelling at the IRL guy for what he did on the show. I'm not sure if the way he was treated contributed to this but, after GoT ended, he retired from acting and decided to pursue an academic career instead. Apparently, though, he's returned to acting recently. I saw that he's in a new Netflix movie with Liam Neeson this year. Maybe academia was a little more boring than he anticipated? Or maybe he just figured enough time had passed that people would stop treating him like Joffrey when they saw him on the street. Either way, he killed it in GoT. Awful character but acted spectacularly.
