SuperTry February 2021 Update

Hey everybody,

Just wanted to fill you in on what's going on at SuperTry this month!

Last week I put a bunch of time into Bazooka Panic. My goal for this month is to put together a second level complete with new rooms, new hazards, and a new boss. My plan is to structure Bazooka Panic a bit like Mega Man with multiple levels and bosses that you can play in any order.

Most of my work last week consisted of completely redoing BP's room generation code so that I could make vertical levels and horizontal levels. Trust me, it's gonna rule. If you want a more in depth explanation of how I do level generation for my games, let me know! That might be fun to explain.

I have two episodes of Heart Canon recorded and awaiting editing. In episode six, Calamity Carl and I talk about the dark slice-of-life manga, Solanin. Look for that sometime this month.

In episode seven, Hadley St. Clair and I talk about space mafia phenomenon, Among Us and its parallels with quarantine life. That episode will come out in early March.

Also happening in March, SuperTry will be participating in 7DRL so look forward to seeing a few familiar SuperTry collaborators coming together to make a roguelike next month.

While this piece of news isn't explicitly SuperTry related, I did want to share that I recently became a host on Goosebuds, a fun, sweary, and spooky podcast where I read and review Goosebumps books with my friends Chad and Paul. If you like hearing me on podcasts, then that is yet another podcast I am on!

That's about all the news I can share. I know the top half of this month has been a little quiet but there is much currently in the works that couldn't be done without your support.
