The ceiling moth

Our apartment is very tall - the ceiling is at 3 metres - so we can't reach the ceiling to get to the moth even if we wanted to, and even if we could herd it outside, it's already autumn out there so it would just get cold and die anyway. So it hangs out on the ceiling and evidently flies around at night. What does it even do all night? What does it eat? Is it happy here?
