Fun fact: piercings (at least facial piercings, and according to someone else's experiences, nipple piercings) start to burn you if you bathe in an electric sauna, but feel fine in a wood-stove sauna!

That's honestly genuinely concerning if its inducing a significant charge at that range. Granted the resistance of skin decreases significantly when wet.

2024-10-24 14:46:22 +0000 UTCYeah, it's because the electricity will conduct through the piercings and burn the skin around the piercing. Wood-burning baths are evenly heated, so everything warms at (roughly) the same rate.
