Update on A Friend of Caesar

Progress on my Other Comic! I don't post about it much - the first album is already finished and on my publisher's work desk, but while I wait for them to get the time to start working on it, I'm continuing the second volume, and today I finished shading one panel that I'm probably the most proud of in the whole project so far, and I wanted to share it with you!

Not yet! I occasionally share few glimpses here on patreon, though.

I wasn't aware u had a second comic...is it available anywhere to glimpse while awaiting it's official publication?

I actually sketch digitally, but draw traditionally! I use my old laptop as a tracing board, essentially, I draw the general outlines of the picture digitally and then transfer it onto the page with parchment paper. Being able to endlessly re-draw, flip, mirror and re-size the sketch before applying it on the page is so much more stress-free than trying to get it right on the first try.

That looks really great! As a amateur artist I am always super hard on myself and it took me over a year before I would share anything with anybody. I have tried many times to get your style of shading to look right but it always looks like scribbles to me. The only shading I've had any success with is my HB pencil and a blender stick. Don't even get me started on color. I tried colored pencil last week and everything looks just wrong. I know everyone's doing digital now, but I told myself I wanted to learn how to do it on paper first before I touched digital. What do you think paper versus digital?
