February HP Poll Result

In the middle of my only 2 hour period that I don’t have stuff planned today, gonna go over some of the responses and respond, but first, it’s time to end this poll. And since I was torn on which fic to put my votes on, I decided to go with the one that had visibly more votes to try and beat out Fate Touched. That would be the Kuroinu fic, so let’s see if it helped… NOPE.
Fate Touched won, with a vote of 1,420. Not surprising and gratifying in that I like Tolkien’s world, even if a part of me had hoped to see which of the other ideas people were interested in.
The still-unnamed Kuroinu/HP crossover would have come in second place without me, but with me, it was closer, bringing in 1,389.
And in third place, is Harry Saywer. 591. OUCH. I have to wonder if it’s because the pairings still pretty much up in the air, how much time Harry’s gonna be on his own, or the fact no one can really suspend their disbelief enough to like the idea of Harry surviving out on the ocean.
Ah well.
I won’t start work on this until Thursday at the latest. Next three days are going to be crazy in RL, and I want to get a lot of little things done on the fanfic front. I will also be posting the next Journey chapter over on Fanfic for Valentine’s day.

But what effect will this result have on the fic after FILFy finishes, will the fact that Kuroinu got second place here mean that it has more of a chance of being the next fic? Or will that be decided by another poll once the time comes?
