Fic Recommendations

Howdy all.   A few of you have asked for some good Kuroinu fics.  I will post a few here now, and update this post with other fics, personal summaries and such like a little bit every night. Again, it has to be said the original was an example of the worst sort of fucking horrible garbage that Japan occasionally creates. Go into this world even in fic form with that knowledge.

You should also have seen the Ranma poll now.  Like I said, I’m not going to vote in that one. 

UM… it shouldn’t have to be said, but a lot of these fics are lemony in the extreme. None more so than the first one, which I just found out is also over on fanfic.

https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13901053/1/Eostia-Harem-Quest  - TONS OF LEMONS.  TOO MANY CHARACTERS.  But still good world building, and decent central characters.

https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13731829/1/Kuroinu-Rise-of-the-Guardian  - Love the combat, love the idea of everything in the world being built on ruins from the old, which are not as dead as you might hope.  The central character is a very interesting fellow in many ways, and warped by his time.

https://www.fanfiction.net/s/14064242/1/An-Archer-s-Promise - Fate/Kuroinu cross. It’s kind of Ehhhh in places, but I enjoy Vult being deleted and a lot of the world building, although not all of it.

https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12763420/1/The-Star-Spangled-Man-With-A-Plan  - Steve Rogers in Kuroinu land.  The fic that I was pointed toward as an example of a good fic. 

Someone asked for a fic with a good trio in it, so figured I’d add some more fics here that aren’t Kuroinu related. 

https://www.fanfiction.net/s/4321881/1/Death-s-Pride - one of the oldies but SOOOOO goodies. Alas, unfinished and never will be. But it was fantastic, and had a Harry/Hermione/Luna pairing.  Severus dying so intriguingly was fantastic.  There are also several hilarious moments in it.

https://www.fanfiction.net/s/8933408/1/Wizard-Runemaster - another, and finished fic which has some great back and forth between Harry and the harem girls. Won’t spoil it, but it’s really good.

https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12327523/1/Ranma-Happenstance-Gone-Right - for the Ranma fans, this one has Ranma, Shampoo and Ukyo getting together. It’s not smooth sailing, and the two girls still butt heads a lot but I like the fic because it goes in a different direction than canon.

On top of these, I would recommend anyone look into Rewind Gone Nuts.  He’s another Ranma writer, and he’s done a lot of good stuff, though he tends to play Ranma’s differently than I do.
