I remember this past year there was a web series that was an interactive experience that was utilized pretty well. It starred Milana Vayntrub (the girl from the AT&T commercials...or the voice of Squirrel Girl). There is a character in the comic "The Unwritten" (highly recommend) that is really fucked up and you don't know who she's working for/ who she is. Anyway when it finally comes time to find out her backstory the whole issue is a choose your own adventure revolving around her being brainwashed and her mixed feelings about that person. It was really cool.
