Added 2019-06-04 13:56:49 +0000 UTCI didn't know until recently that famitracker (and NES/famicom music) has this weird quirk that causes small rhythmic inconsistencies. This song has a lot of emphasis on the consistent beat, so it was definitely a noticeable issue here. There are ways to work around it by keeping the tempo fixed at 150 BPM and only changing the speed setting, which doesn't give you a whole lot of options for tempo range. I worked around this by adjusting the engine speed, which gives me a bit more freedom with the tempo setting. With a default engine speed of 60hz, you're limited to a tempo of 150 bpm, but each 1hz increase allows you to increase the tempo by 2.5 bpm. It's totally not cheating, shut up!
also i tried some 3-channel reverb here which is cool i guess, right? .-.
