Ep2 Progress Report #28

Hi.

I started work on the Kait event at a slow pace. I had to remind myself at what point I finished, read the dialogues, and prepare the next location to be able to pose the characters there. That's how the first days of my work looked like, but I'm getting close to finishing "shooting pictures" in the first of the 4 locations I mentioned in the previous report. The next three environments in which there will be a bit of action I have to prepare from scratch, but I will tell you that I am getting increasingly more proficient at preparing different locations, so this is not a problem.

The puzzle I have, however, is how to show certain MC behavior. It's a good thing that I have things incorporated every weekend into the creating process, this is where you can make fun of me. Those things are walks. Such a walk of 30-60 minutes helps me to calmly think about what and how to present things.

At home, I find it hard to focus because too much stuff distracts me. Exactly this past weekend I was beating myself up with thoughts on how to portray MC's behavior when at the last minute - player make decisive choice - MC cancels his meeting with Amanda and decides to spend the evening with Kait.

Will he call Amanda after the decision? Or maybe to Paula? This is what I have been thinking about because I want to show the MC's behavior corresponding to his character (red or blue stat). In this situation the player will have no choice, as I wrote some time ago—giving a choice to players in such a situation, they always choose the best solution. By juggling between red and blue choices, you have shaped the character of the MC, and his reaction will be as the Red/Blue stat ratio indicates. The "blue" reaction is easy to show because in such a situation the MC may, for example, have a guilty conscience and will want to explain himself somehow. With the "red" response, the situation gets complicated. Maybe the MC won't call any of the ladies because he's afraid, or maybe he just doesn't give a fuck because all that matters is the here and now, or he'll call and, in a blunt manner, tell Amanda that it's over. And the situation here gets complicated because I may have to create 3 variants of this event...

Anyway, I'm wrapping my report here because I've written too much on this topic.

Thanks for your support.
