Heck, this is kind of true about a lot of conditions, both physical and mental: Everyone has blood pressure, there's low blood pressure and high blood pressure, and a healthy range of blood pressure. You're only diagnosed with high/low blood pressure when it meets a certain level to where it can impact you in negative ways. Same with people with autism, we are diagnosed because we are at a certain level with related behaviours and sensory experiences to where it impacts our ability to socialise or function in society as effectively as people in a more typical range.
