Patreon currency options

I just wanted to let you know that I believe starting tomorrow Patreon will allow you to pledge in currency other than Dollars. More info can be found here.
It seems you will not be forced to pay in your local currency but rather will be able to choose which currency you pay in.
Patreon however will set the Tier prices in Euros and Pounds according to their own formula. I have no control over this. They will take the Dollar price, convert it to the other currency using some "Average exchange rate", then add 4.5% to that and then round it up to nearest 50 cents or pence. More details here.
Depending on what kind of currency conversion rate you already pay switching to your local currency may or may not be any cheaper.
So just a heads up, choose whichever currency option is best for you.
