I am alive!

Is the book done? No. About ten chapters left, because, as the Denizen and up tiers know from the photos, everything that could go hilariously wrong last week, from a massive heat dome in New England to my ceiling flooding and falling through, did indeed happen, plus more outlandish rubbish on top of it. Thus, I am still drowning in stress, plus more stress, plus old bathtub water and it’s still too hot.

GOD ENOUGH ALREADY! I GET IT, I HAVE SINNED OR WHATEVER.

I'm still getting the June rewards out this week, so hold tight, I aint'nt dead yet.

In the meantime!

I have a new short story out at Uncanny Magazine, and I’m super excited about it, because I've had the premise in my head for about three years now, which means my head thinks it's been waiting for three years for it to come out even though that's not how time, or heads, work.

Those who get excerpts read a bit of it months ago, but it grew into quite the beast.

Plus…the premise is just a ton of cheeky fun that I wasn't sure I could pull off until, well...until it came out and people didn't say it was awful. I don’t want to tell you what it is, because it’ll spoil the whole thing, but you will recognize it and laugh some minor, unimportant body part off before the whole thing veers wildly into new territory.
