State Of The Game

Hey folks!

Today we'll present you some of the things we've been working on for the final Roundscape Patch. If you prefer to go in blind, there may be spoilers below.

With the final chapter we will add all the remaining places on the world map of Adorevia. The most prominent of them is the Ethereal Grassland in combination with the Ruins of Tesa.

There you will encounter a wild faction: Centaurs, goblins and minotaurs who try to fend off a corrupting evil. As with previous new areas, there are several sidequests and more than one way to approach this new storyline.

The Ethereal Grassland will be one of the larger new areas. We really want to make sure that it's a big area with many secrets, characters and enemies to discover.

The new area also features new classes for you, the protagonist, and many new kinky scenes for both you and your companions.

The first and the last 10% of the game are parts we're heavily reworking for the gold patch. The beginnings and the endings of the game.

This also features completely new endings. A bit more secret, harder to achieve than the ones currently in game.

Emek's Rest Ending

In the new Emek's Rest ending, you'll get the chance to settle down in Emek's Rest after your journey. Likely with Jenda or a companion of your choice. However, there's an even more secret variation of this ending...

Mayla Ending

The second new ending path heavily involves Mayla. We don't wanna spoil too much, but we can say that this new path features a lot of new and kinky content for mayla. This ending will be best for players who like to be... evil.

Of course, we're also adding a good amount of new scenes for the origins. Origins are one of your favorite parts about the game, so we want to make sure each of them includes a fulfilling quest line for the gold patch.

This mainly includes the noble and thief origins, as the other three origins have rather concluded story lines.

Not having to worry about save files for the final patch allows us to add and change things we've wanted to change for years: New Classes, features and systems.

♦ We're adding subclasses to each companion, allowing you to pick companions based on their personality instead of their skills.

♦ At least eight new classes for the player character. Especially more "default" ones for those of you who want to play a powerful mage or a sneaky rogue.

♦ A new fifth companion slots for "Mini-Companions" such as the Rulwe or Roderick.

♦ Visual upgrades through plugins we've created for Arenus.

♦ And much more!

Then there's of course Camilla, the new Companion. She will feature enough content to easily keep up with companions like Katelyn or Ruksana. Since she's a druid, her type of content will be on the "Wild" side of things.

For those of you who always wanted a more "Milf-y" companion in Roundscape, Camilla will be the perfect addition. The mature and loving druid will add a whole new dynamic to many groups.

And of course she'll feature several quests with a branching story, we're excited to see which ending you'll unlock for Camilla!

There's lots of stuff we want to do for the gold patch. Some of it may work and some won't. One of those things is to add a higher resolution to the game through upscaling. We can't make any promises, but it would be cool to play Roundscape in 1920 x 1080, right?

Let me know in the comments what kind of things you want to see in Roundscape Adorevia's Final Patch! Is there a class you always wanted to unlock? An origin you felt is missing in the game?

"... on the wild side of things." Hey, looks like I'll be sticking around for that. As far as classes go... I've been away for I think two years? Right around when you made the overhaul to the game mechanics. So forgive me if there's something that works similarly to this already. My favorite class archetype is something like a permanent summon/beast tamer who has a long-term companion and whose power budget is focused on buffing or synergizing with said companion. Obviously, this can't be in the sense of the in-game companions with their story arcs, because that's a massive amount of work, but I want to run around with a wolf or something, dammit. I won't lie, there's other things I want a character to do with that kind of companion, but Patreon is a fickle mistress.
