Ready for Arenus

Hey folks, we owe you a sign of life. We've been crunching on Arenus for the last few months, I personally even work seven days a week to get it done. Sadly a small health issue and surgery ate two weeks of my time this month, but i'm back on track on finishing the game.

What we've been working on? Arenus is a large game and features a "Days" system, as in you progress through days, weeks and eventually months throughout the mainstory. But don't worry, there's no timer or something similar.

It is crucial that while skill matters, you shouldn't be able to "softlock" yourself through decisions you made during the early game. We've added a few new mechanics to the game to avoid that, for example: If you lose an arena match, you can choose if you want to restart the day of the match or the first day of the week.

But at the end of the day, balacing is key and we've spent a lot of time creating fun sub-gameplay loops to provide many ways to progress, earn credits and unlock new things: Inflitrations, Expeditions, Gardening, Arcade Games and more.

We're also still adding a few smaller things here and there to provide a smooth and branching experience to NPCs other than the main gladiators. We want to make sure that every day in Arenus there is something new to discover. Since the game features over 100 days, it's quite a lot of work. But we're pretty much done at this point. Just smaller things.

Last but not least we've been adding a lot of visual clues and animations to translate numbers and stats into fun, graspable moments. We want important unlocks to feel important, and Arenus features a lot of them. 

A daily action point increase is a huge gamechanger, you suddenly can assign your gladiator to one more task per day. You unlock them through the mainstory or through optional, complex sidequests.

Your Gladiator's Relationship Level will be important if you plan to befriend or even romance them. Each Gladiator will feature several states of relationships you can unlock throughout the game.

And of course thanks for all the support over the last few, silent months. We appreciate it a lot. Releasing a finished, big nsfw game is a rare sight to behold in the western NSFW game scene but we are about to pull it off thanks to your support.
