Waiting for someone else to tell you that theyβre the 6 ex wives of King Henry the VIII lol. This show is very concert-y. Iβve never seen it live but i know it is very popular.

I feel like if you go to see SIX you would already know the shows plot, but if you are attempting a fully blind react then I feel like they honestly didn't explain that for my success enough LOL

2025-09-26 17:14:32 +0000 UTCi have been a fan of this musical since it opened on the west end in 2019 and i have NEVER realised they never explicitly mention henry viii until halfway through the show and just assume you recognise the rhyme/their names π i hope you worked out at some point they all share the same husband lol. that being said the use of greensleeves in the first song is even more clever because it was (incorrectly) rumoured that greensleeves was written by henry viii for anne boleyn ! thats why she says in her introduction "my sleeves may be green but my lipsticks red" (and partially why she wears green) :) there are a lot of tudor references along with popstar references as the show is a fusion of the two (each queen has specific influences, aragon's being beyonce)
