I think what makes Henry work for me is the ways in which his relationship with Natalie is paralleled with Dan and Diana. Also I love the small touch in this production of him wearing her scrunchy on his wrist for most of the show after she lets her hair down. He's obviously not a perfect character, but I don't mind him.
