We see Rose has a great connection with The Doctor, and we just saw a reminder of the history between Sarah Jane and The Doctor, now we see another side of him through Madame de Pompadour.

After they broke up, he ended up marrying an actress he met in another episode - who is also the real life daughter of peter davison ,the 5th doctor!
